Stop Time

Do you ever wish the clock would stop just for a little while so you can catch up? I am sure you have all felt that way, well that is they way that I am feeling right now. I have assignements due but I need to do laundry, I have a test to study for but I need to clean my apartment, I am missing time at work because of my class but I cant stay late because I have to go to church tonight....ahhh somebody please tell me there is sense in all of this! What is most important, which things do I do first? Do I put relationships over school or the other way around? So many questions and really not enough time to contemplate the answers. Most of the time I just have to make the gut decision, you know the automatic one. Is it right? Hopefully, but I know sometimes it is wrong. So what is the lesson of this blog?? Find out what is most important and make sure that the things that have eternal significance are at the top of your "to do" list. This doesnt mean that things such as cleaning (grrr) need to be avoided, but it does mean that investing your life in people and in the Lord's work is more important than dust bunnies.

As for my weekend, we have a good one planned out. We are going to a TCU game! This is another dilemma that I have going on in my life that is causing much distress The game that we are going to is at 7pm. Guess who else has their game at 7pm, hmmmm, take a minue, yep you guessed it! Auburn plays South Carolina at 7pm this Saturday! Ahhh, this is one of those times where I have to decide whether or not I want to be selfish and watch my team play or I want to build some relationships with friends by going to the game. I choose relationships (and it is not just because the tickets are already paid for). So, much fun will be had by all and thanks Dennis and Toni for hookin' us up!!

Kelley and the Twins

This is Kelley! She is one of the coolest girls around! I had the blessing of meeting her and Melissa in Oxford. She and Melissa were best friends during their stay at Seminary and the Oxford trip was the final semester for them. So, even though I am blessed to have met them there and wouldnt trade it in for anything, I am sad that we all spent a whole year at Seminary without ever meeting. We could have had so much fun, but nonetheless, we became really close while in England. We hit it off immediately! Our first thing that we had in common was our love for the Harry Potter book series. Melissa and I began discussing them on the bus one day and from then on out, the three of us were inseperable. We even went to see one of the Harry Potter movies while we were in Oxford, because someone thought it might be different in England, well it wasnt! I was so sad the day that I parted ways with Melissa and Kelley. You see, they actually made the Oxford trip a little bit longer than everyone else. They traveled to Ireland before we arrived and then they stayed a couple of days extra in London after we flew back to TX. I will never forget all the fun we had there, it was truly one of the highlights of my life and the main reason is because of Kelley and Melissa.

Well, now Kelley is engaged and will be getting married in May and she has honored me by asking me to be a bridesmaid. Thank you Kelley, you dont even know how much this means to me! Kelley and I have kindred hearts in so many ways, but one of the those ways is that we love to travel! We also love to shop, read fiction by British authors, and we both love rap music! Kelley is a woman of God and she has the huge responsibility of being a Children's minister in FL. She is truly a great woman and will make a great wife!!

p.s. check out our Joey hats!!

The Bridesmaid of the Year!!

Wahoo! I was asked to be in another wedding!! So excited! Not only is my little Nae getting married but my so fun so far away friend in Jacksonville, FL is getting married. Congrats Kelley! The best thing for me is that I can wear the same dress in both weddings! Save some mullah, yeah buddy! Both dresses are supposed to be black and Nae has set no guidelines on hers, but Kelley gave me some to choose from, so I believe that I have found one that will work for both weddings. The next big step is to get in shape so that I look hottastic (second time I have used that word today) in both of these weddings. Yes dad, I have been keeping up with the 6 am workouts, so I will be buff by Christmas, hopefully.

Well, that is all the news for now.

6 AM!

So yeah, go me, I got up at 6 AM this morning to go work out. I am not feeling the drag of the day yet, but I fear it will come soon. So, I am guessing that I will look like this hot chic above if I keep working out at 6 AM. Good idea?? I think Chris will LOVE it!

A great gift for a GREAT boyfriend

Do you ever fix sphagetti and then have some left over? That ALWAYS happens to me. So what do you do? WEll, you get out your tupperware/rubbermaid stuff and you put the excess noodles in one conatainer and then you put the excess sauce in another. Right? Well, when it comes time to eat again and you decide you want the leftover spaghetti, you get the two containers out of the fridge and put them in the mircrowave to fix yourself a nice big help'n of spaghetti. Then you go to do the dishes and low and behold, you cannot get the tomato sauce stain out of the container. GRRRR, what a frustration. Well, my friends, low and behold Rubbermaid has come up with a solution. It is Stain Shield rubbermaid that prevents your leftovers from leaving behind a yucky stain. I have been saying for awhile that I want some of this and my most handsome, loving, and generous sexy boyfriend decided that I needed some. So, here is a picture of the spur of the moment gift he gave me last night. He rocks!

The narrow way

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13-14

God has a way/path/road for us to follow. He has it all planned out. He knows where we will stray and get off the path He has set before us, but wouldn’t it be easier to just stay the course and not take all the detours that might look enticing/fun/adventurous/religious. Be encouraged my friends and stay the course that God has set out before you.
