Well, it has been a whirlwind couple of days. Things were crazy once we returned from Colorado. I had a final exam to prepare for and a trip to plan. I took my final exam on Thursday afternoon and then left for Alabama on Thursday evening. My handsome boyfriend took me out to the best Mexican restaurant in FW before my trip. I made the 11.5 hour drive to Athens, AL on Thursday evening, arriving there around 6:15am on Friday morning. The purpose of my trip was to attend Denae’s wedding. I was able to have breakfast with my dad and stepmother on Saturday morning and I was able to catch up with some old friends from home. I made the trek back to TX on Sunday. It is such a relief to be done with school for a couple of weeks. I do still have counseling on Tuesday nights, actually I am now transitioning into my third (out of four) semester of counseling. I am the lead counselor and I am very blessed to have Amber as my new co-counselor. Tonight is transition night and you know what that means…..baptists who gather in a large group always have food! That’s right, we are going to PAR-TAY tonight once we get done healing marriages and saving lives (jk).

For real though, it has been a fun past couple of days. I would say that I am looking forward to some downtime, but that isn’t going to happen. I have my choir PRODUCTION this weekend and then Chris and I are going to another wedding the weekend after that and then the weekend after that is Christmas! Whew, I get tired just thinking about it. I need a vacation, a real one!
