Chris and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary this weekend. We were both out of school and off from work on Friday, so we went to the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth. It was wonderful!! If you live in the area and have never gone, shame on you! I went with my dad and stepmother a couple of years ago and we went to the free part of the gardens, but this time Chris and I went into the Japanese Garden which is $3 and it is so worth it. It was amazing! I think we spent 2 hours just in this one garden! We then went to the Rose garden after that, which was beautiful as well.

On Saturday, we grilled out for dinner, which is always nice. Meat that is cooked on the grill always tastes better to me!

Enjoy the pics!

I love the turtles!

Ahhhhh

lots n' lots of Koi ....notice the one on the left with his mouth open and out of the water, he isnt stupid, he knows how to play the game!

mmmhum.....I walked across these, there were children less scared than me though

Wow

There is a bee in my bonnet.... i mean rose

This is the fountain in the Rose Garder

The Griller---- yes that is MY grill, I am a girl, I have a grill and a griller!

Baby Time!!

This is Doug and Tina Hays. Tina and I work together in the School of Theology at the seminary. Cale Denise Hays is making her way into the world tonight. Tina went into labor this morning and I hope to finally meet their beautiful daughter tomorrow morning.

I never got a chance to blog about Tina's baby shower. I was in charge of giving this shower, which was a bit scary since I had never given a baby shower! Everything went smoothly and these are some of the pics from the shower. We had a blast.

This last pic is of Christi Brumley, me , and Melissa Gililland. They are super fun girls who make being a secretary not such a bad thing because we have so much fun together. Just so you know, we had to take this picture many times because both of these girls are habitual blinkers during photos....
